Don't try it at home, eating flowers can be more disgusting than you think

Where to start? Well our mini zone conference on Tuesday was great, saw some elders I haven't seen in a long time which was cool. Also saw Stuttgart for the first time., then had an exchange in Pforzheim with another sister. That was good. Then on Saturday we went to a street display in Ellwangen to help out the elders. So for knowing nothing about this zone, I have seen a little more of it this week.

We met a 28 year old girl last Monday at the bus stop. She is an alcoholic and doesn't believe on God. She told us that straight up. But she agreed to meet us and we had a cool appt where she drank 2 water bottles of beer and smoked 4 cigarettes. She looks completely normal and is so sweet but she knows she has problems. Her sister is handicapped and she has always had a special love for her. We came back for out next appt, got off the bus and she was waiting on the other side of the street at the bus stop. She said she had to tell us something. She heard we were a sect or a cult and doesnt want to be involved with us. We cleared that up, we are a church according to Germany but she said, well you seem like one. Gave back the Book of Mormon and brochure and the one bus an hour arrived back to Ulm and she suggested we get on. I said we wanted to wait. She said she is going home so if we don't get on we wait an hour. That's fine. She refused to sit down with us and Sister Dietz bore testimony and off she went. We thought about doing the 3 km walk to the main bus line we did the last time we missed the bus after our appt :)

We have had a lot of focus on following the Spirt lately. I love to plan but the cool thing is, the Lord knows the people way better than me and the best thing to do is listen to what He would say. Sister Dietz and I have really been focusing on not thinking about what we are going to say in response while people are talking but to focus on THEM and then wait and see what the Spirit gives us in the moment. That was a really cool appt with our investigator last week where we were able to find way more of the ice berg that led to him setting a baptismal date this week for July 4th (he loves america....). The only problem is him mom is against it and he said he won't go through if his mom is not there. She baptized him when he was a baby and it was the best day of her life. If he gets baptized its not just rejecting her church, its rejecting her personally. So pray for him and his mom. By the way she loves us :) She is all Lieb with us than randomly 5 times during our visit pulls the, but I am NOT coming to the baptism...
